- Background
- The ATP and WTA govern men’s and women’s professional tennis, each with its own tournaments, rankings, players and fan base. Historically, fans had to switch between separate apps to follow both tours. The joint app brings them together for the first time, giving fans one place to follow every match, player and tournament across the professional game.
- Challenge
- Combine two tours, two calendars and two audiences into one intuitive app without losing either brand’s identity. The experience had to handle huge volumes of live data across simultaneous matches, stay fast and accessible on any device, and make it effortless for fans to follow their favourite players across both tours.
- Solution
- I led the product design of the joint ATP x WTA app, from mapping fan journeys across both tours through to information architecture, user flows, UI and prototyping. I designed a performance-first experience built on the ATP design system, with fast live scores, personalised player following and a unified calendar that keeps both brands distinct. Fans now get faster, more accessible tennis across both tours in one place, and the business gains a single platform to grow engagement and partnerships.
